Florida Yacht Interiors
Bait and Switch!!
After receiving an estimate for a full interior refit I only could afford the worst cushions to be done. When going into the store to set up the work the said the estimate did not include any material even though it states on the estimate that a material cost was added using jobs from the past. I ended up paying over $600 more than the original estimate. They also ran 2 weeks late to finish the job costing me money on rentals I had for my boat. The did not care, were not concerned about my loss and really could have cared less about my business. Little do they know that I have several boats and know many more people that will never use them for their service. I would avoid at all costs! by Cameron B. in FORT LAUDERDALE, FL
J. A. G. Yacht Painting
AFTER A NASTY ALTERCATION WITH A POST IN THE LA HARBOR I TOOK MY BOAT TO SHELTER ISLAND BOAT YARD WHERE I'D HAD SOME WORK DONE 2.5 YEARS AGO. I WAS SO PLEASED WITH THEM THEN, I DECIDED TO BRING MY BOAT BACK. THIS TIME THE WORK WAS FAR MORE EXTENSIVE AND THE WHOLE BOAT HAD TO BE REPAINTED. JAG/GORDO DID A TOP NOTCH JOB. Gordo, the co-owner of the company, went over and above the call of duty showing great pride in his workmanship and delivering my boat back to me in better than new condition!! Great job JAG!! by bob l. in RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA

High Tech Marine Surveys
No Followup
It's difficult to write a negative review about someone who is in a position to keep you from ever selling your boat, but Pat Goodrow was paid in full for a survey of my boat on the day he inspected it. I received a report that evening by e-mail, but he never followed up with a report on the thermal imaging of my carbon fiber mast. The reason I employed Pat, rather than a local surveyor, was for his thermal imaging skills and equipment. Two months and half a dozen requests later, I have not received a written report and I expect that I never will. by Loren L. in WALLINGFORD, CT

Brothers Marine Canvas
Brothers Marine Canvas
I was reffered to this company by one of my friends who used them. They came out and gave me a good price on a enclosure for my boat. We met again and I upgraded the materials and gave them a deposit. Big mistake, I have been trying to reach these guys and they do not answer there e-mails or phones. Know they also have my cushions and a bolt of fabric that I gave them to make some curtain. No answer, no show, nothing. I'm giving them one more week. I hope they return my call before then.
