Miramar Canvas & Upholstery
Over promised under delivered
Roger is not the guy for your boat repairs. He will not deliver in a timely fashion, nor answer calls or texts... He has had over 3 weeks to do what should have taken a week. by peter in SAN DIEGO, CA
Smith & Wick Marine Diesel
Smith Wick Marine Service is no good
I would not hire them. I got over charged and lied to. Quote was half of what the final bill was. Never was i told that there would be any increase. Also the job took several days longer because the first mechanic did not complete job and caused major diesel leaks. They damaged my yacht and caused major damage. This is my opinion and would never hire this company. Find another company to work on your engines. Again Smith & Wick is not reputable in my opinion. Charlie Smithwick is not to be trusted in my opinion. by Lou in PORT SALERNO, FL
So Cal Auto Sound
Better sound than I thought possible!
I had these guys do a sound system update on my boat. I thought I just wanted a new stereo and some new speakers, but wow, what they came up with really exceeded my expectations. They set it up with three separate zones, each with it's own volume control, a sub in each area, and although I don't throw any parties, I could start a nightclub on it now! Even on the way to Catalina with the engines going and the wind, we can hear the music loud and crystal clear. These guys know what they're doing! by David in NEWPORT BEACH, CA

When and if you find yourself near San Diego and in need of boating parts & supplies, be sure to pay a visit to Downwind Marine. Lots to find here but in a nut shell, their local knowledge, industry knowledge, and boating enthusiasm makes them a much better option than West Marine.
