Matthew Gotbaum has over 26 years of experience. He began in 1985, working as a custom yacht builder apprentice to a structural welder and a cosmetic welder.

Spending up to 53,000 man hours building each yacht, allowed Matthew to become the craftsman he is today. His attention to detail and excellent work ethic is how Benchmark Custom Welding got it's name.

Benchmark is San Diego' #1 marine metal fabricator. Matthew did some custom railings that were beautiful and fit perfectly. He is great to work with & gets it done when promised. I'm looking forward to him redoing my boat's exhaust system.
