Klassen Diesel Sales Ltd. was founded in 1965 by Victor Klassen in Richmond, B.C. Victor saw a need for dependable and fuel-efficient marine engines and generator sets. Isuzu Diesel Engines were imported, and Victor successfully designed a marinization of the engines. Suzie® Diesel Engines, and Lecset® Generator Sets powered by Isuzu Diesel Engines quickly developed a reputation for quality and durability. As the reputation grew, so did the customer base. Remote Canadian fishing lodges, canneries, logging camps, and construction companies joined the list of Klassen customers.
